HI!
Historians are back! We’ve been going for so many excursions around Cambridge. We‘ve spent almost every afternoon heading down for excursions. So here’s post mainly of pictures of our adventures.
The Imperial War Museum at Duxford: this place was once a wartime airbase. So after the war, it was converted to an air plane museum. Not only were there war planes, there were also Concordes and bomb canisters. Pictures NOW……..

And then we had a visit to St John ’s College which has a beautiful campus. Our lecturer, Dr Jessica Gibbs studied there, so she gave us an absolutely insightful tour of the college grounds. More pictures!

And then! We went punting! Not punting as in gambling on stupid horses, but the English style of rowing a boat down the river. Wilfred tried his hand and punting. He was quite good, i must say. I was too afraid of falling into the freezing cold water to try it.

We also went for a trip to an American war cemetery. There were SOOOOOOOOO many crosses on the grass. this ground was given by the Queen of England to America for the purpose of creating burial grounds.

the next coolest excursion was the one to the NATIONAL ARCHIVES. if remember correctly, there are close to 25 million documents in this building. from long long time ago. we even got to touch confidential letters from tunku abdul rahman to an english governer about indepence. we handled the original documents such as an photos of an assasinated briton's funeral to seals from long time ago, all stored in the National archives.
on a lighter note, we went to london on our "free day" and had a ball of a time. we split into groups, i went with melissa and abraham, and we went S H O P P I N G (: but first we went to see the westminster abbey, the big ben and the changing of guards outside the Buckingham palace.
and by the way
